Match report minis

Unfortunately no game for the 7s as it was called off on Saturday.
Nanty under 8s were disappointingly beaten by a good Kenfig Hill team but still great to see lots of smiles off the players. Lots of positives coming from the game to take into training and the next game and it’s great to see the team improving every week. Man of the match this week was Mason Thomas.
Our 9s played a bigger, stronger kenfig hill team this week, but that didnt deter them! A huge effort by all players involved and the determination in the tackling was fantastic.
Nanty showed some good passages of play and some great ball handling and passing skills.
Some of the tackles made by our players on the bigger boys could be heard from the sidelines!
Some small little errors from our side saw kenfig hill cross the try line to an 8-3 win, but our players came off the field with smiles on their faces as well as the mud!!
A solid performance by the whole team made it very difficult to choose man of the matches this week, with each player bringing something different to the game, and some of the passes that were thrown by some of our longer standing players were outstanding, however man of the matches was taking by Dylan Brain for his tackles and to Finley OGorman for the way hes improving with every match.
Although it didnt go our way this week, there was plenty left to smile about at the end!
The falcons took on a very organised Kenfig Hill team today. We were slow out of the blocks going 1 nil down but as the game progressed we built ourselfs into the match with some lovely interplay between forwards and backs. The try of the game was well worked with our new recruite Ieaun Daffyd going on a lovely run, and with quick reclyed ball we put the ball through the hands to score a great team try in the corner. The team spirit was superb throughout with Brooklyn standing out in defence also Tomos with some great try saving tackles. Harry, Finnley and Harrison making some great runs in attack. Nanty showed some great character to go behind then come back and win the game 5-2.
Try scorers were Koby Goddard where he run the leghth of the pitch . Kieran Darkes twisted and turned over the line. Travis with thundering run who busted through in the corner.  Davey Lewis broke many tackles to seal his try. The last meat pie went to Tyler Turner who was the finisher of our team try .
Player of the match.
3rd Ieaun Daffyd for a superb first game.
2nd Harvey Palmer, young Bull showing his dad's character after having bump.
1st Brooklyn Osgood (Ozzie) excellent 1st up tackles  very well deserved.
Nantyffyllon under 11s hosted Kenfig Hill showing some great rugby in an evenly matched game
In the first half Kenfig Hill started strong moving the ball and using the space well with Nanty putting in a great defensive display.
Nanty then showed great attacking rugby using their strong runners to push forward with both sides scoring some lovely tries with Kenfig Hill leading 20 points to 10 at half time.
At the start of the second half Nanty came out strong keeping the pressure on and managed a lovely well worked try from deep in their own 22 to bring the match back to within 5 points a few minutes later after applying more pressure Nanty then had a penalty a few Meters again using their strong runners resulting in another try bringing the game to a 20 point draw with only a few minutes remaining.
Both teams pushed hard looking to gain the upper hand with Kenifg Hill getting over the white wash to win the game in the last minutes winning 25- 20
A great game played by both sides ❤💚
Next week we face Skewen at home.
